A - It is a known fact that people will find it easier to associate with people who they perceive to be like themselves. Inter-personal skills allows you to identify the thrust behaviourial style of the person you’re engaging and to modify your approach to them in order to create common ground between you. Inter-personals skills form the foundation for a skills-set often referred to as Emotional Intelligence. Effective Inter-personal skills allow people at any level of an organisation, to understand that people are different and that they need to be treated differently. These skills can also be applied in any other relationship with people. We have found that many people are able to relate better to their spouse as a result of completing our inter-personal skills training course. Inter-personal skills teach you how different people approach life, make decisions and engage others in order that they feel comfortable in the situation. If you can identify the behaviourial style of the people you work with, you are able to adapt your style to meet them half way. Effective inter-personal skills allow you to treat people the way they want to be treated as opposed to the traditional attitude which says that we treat people the way we want to be treated.
