Since first representing his province at Hockey in the late 1980’s Erik Vermeulen has been intrigued by the way people and teams function. Since 1993 he has focused all his efforts on researching how to move people’s attitude to “TEAMATUDE”.
Erik is a nationally recognised expert on Experiential Team Development through developing Personal Potential and Relationship IQ using 45-minute presentations and more popular one and two-day seminars. He has been linked with some of South Africa’s top companies and “Top 10” sports teams yet the impact and relevance of his content have ensured that clients request him to come back time after time.
He is naturally energetic and practical, and believes that humour is the catalyst to memory. Erik believes in maintaining a balance in life and he continues to challenge himself at endurance events and ultra-triathlons.
Erik is co-author of the first (and only) South African book on the use of Experiential Learning in facilitating team building.
Erik has appeared in numerous radio and television interviews in connection with Experiential Learning, Personal Performance and Team Development. He has delivered papers at local and international conferences.
He is married to Anita, and they celebrate their wedding anniversary every four years on the 29th of February.
